Mid Valley Little League Safety Plan
At the Throop Little League Complex, the players play, coaches coach, and families cheer, but it’s the Board of Directors that is responsible for making sure that your child's experience is safe and healthy for us all. Accidents happen and that is why the ASAP was created to help prevent accidents so the children can enjoy the game in a safe environment.

2023 Mid Valley Little League Safety Plan
Making safety a priority can easily be overlooked in the day-to-day complexities of preparing and operating a Little League season, which is why it is so important to create a detailed A Safety Awareness Plan (ASAP). The ASAP program was developed 30 years ago, it has expanded to manage 15 standard requirements, that include surveying the condition of the playing facility, expectations for hosting tournament games and providing information on each local league’s players, coaches and managers among several other points.
The 15 requirements are:
1) Safety Officer
2) Safety Plan Distribution
3) Emergency Plan
4) Volunteer Application
5) Fundamentals Training
6) First-Aid Training
7) Check Field Conditions
8) Facility Survey
9) Concession Stand Safety
10) Equipment Check
11) Accident Reporting
12) First Aid Kits
13) Enforce Little League Rules
14) Player/Coach Data
15) Answer New Survey questions for the current year
As volunteers, we want to make sure that your child has the best experience in the safest possible way!
